About Saint Michael
Saint Michael was built around 1870 in the Gothic Revival style. The church is built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.

History
The parish records the church, on Chapel Hill, as built between 1870 and 1875. It is one of the two churches of Carlingford and Omeath parish, in the Cooley Peninsula area. The other is St Laurence's Church at Chapel Hill, Omeath, built in 1987 to replace an earlier church of 1836 to 1866.
