About Saint Joseph, Carrickmacross

Saint Joseph, Carrickmacross was built between 1861 and 1866. It has a cruciform plan, built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a four-stage tower with a broach spire, stained glass including a rose window, an internal gallery and a marble altar.
