About Rathmolyon St Michael & All Angels

Rathmolyon St Michael & All Angels was built in 1797. It has an L-shaped plan and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower with a spire, stained-glass windows and buttressed walls.

Notable people

A plaque within the tower states the tower and spire were erected by Robert Fowler of Rahinston House in 1857. The structure serves as a memorial to his father, the late Bishop of Ossory and Ferns.
