About Agher
Agher was built between 1900 and 1905. It has a simple single-cell form and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage bell tower, window tracery and buttressed walls.
The building
Rebuilt c.1902, this single-cell church features a three-stage bell tower with castellations and rock-faced limestone. The nave has rendered walls with rock-faced limestone buttresses, while the chancel is single-bay. Pointed arch openings include limestone dressings, tracery and hood mouldings. A porch is attached to the south elevation. The site includes a graveyard and a mausoleum.
