About Moville St Columb (Moville Lower)
Moville St Columb (Moville Lower) was built in 1858. It has a five-bay nave, built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower with a spire, stained-glass windows, crenellated parapets and window tracery.
History
The church was consecrated in April 1858 as a chapel of ease for Lower Moville and was funded entirely by private contributions. Its design may be by Joseph Welland, with Welland & Gillespie supervising completion.
