About Little Island St Lappan
Little Island St Lappan was built in 1865. It has a three-bay nave, built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a four-stage bell tower, stained-glass windows, window tracery and buttressed walls.
History
Built in 1865 by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners of Ireland, the church was aided by a bequest from Miss Hester Bury. It may be the work of Welland and Gillespie. A plaque records reference to Simon Dring of Rock Grove estate.
