About Kilwatermoy Church
Kilwatermoy Church was built between 1915 and 1925. It has a simple single-cell form under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and window tracery.
History
Designed by Thomas Scully of Waterford, the church was rebuilt in 1920. It likely repurposes an early nineteenth-century chapel that displayed a cruciform footprint on the first edition of the Ordnance Survey. The interior was later reordered in accordance with liturgical reforms sanctioned by the Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican.
