About Kilfane
Kilfane was built around 1825. The church is built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows and buttressed walls.
The building
This Church of Ireland church in Co. Kilkenny features a double-height nave, an east chancel on a half-octagonal plan, and a west entrance tower rising into an octagonal turret. The structure is built of random squared rubble limestone with tooled cut-limestone dressings, including gabled stepped buttresses and diagonal finials. Windows have round-headed openings with Y-mullions and stained glass, while the tower includes louvered panels and blind openings.
