About Holy Family Church
Holy Family Church is a Catholic church at Mervue, Co. Galway, in the Mervue parish of the Diocese of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora. Sunday Mass is at 3:00pm, with the Saturday vigil at 6:00pm. The site was bought from Galway Corporation at £648 per acre. Designed soon after Vatican II by Patrick Sheahan & Partners of Limerick, the church has a hexagonal plan centred on the altar so that all 1,100 worshippers face it equally.
