About Glencolumbkille St Columba
Glencolumbkille St Columba was built in 1828. It has a four-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows, crenellated parapets and buttressed walls. The tower was added in 1913.
Notable people
Samuel Patrick Close designed the chancel and clasping buttresses added in 1890. His son Richard Mills Close designed the 1913–15 tower, built by James McClay of Strabane and paid for by Henry Musgrave.
