About Finglas St Canice
Finglas St Canice was built in 1843 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower, crenellated parapets and pinnacles.
History
Dedicated in 1843 by Richard Whately, Archbishop of Dublin, this Church of Ireland building replaced an earlier structure at the site of St Canices early monastery that had fallen into disrepair. The church serves the local community and is set within landscaped grounds enclosed by walls and railings.
