About Dunkineely Methodist Church
Dunkineely Methodist Church was built in 1854. The church has rendered walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include a bellcote and an internal gallery.
History
This Methodist chapel replaced an earlier meeting house on the same site in Dunkineely, which was apparently in existence in 1833. The current structure was built in 1854 and altered c. 1910, when a timber gallery was added to the south end. An associated manse, also built c. 1854, stands adjacent to the east.
