About Dunkerrin
Dunkerrin was built around 1820. It has a four-bay nave, built of stone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows, pinnacles and window tracery.
The building
This Board of First Fruits Church of Ireland church features a four-bay nave, chancel, and vestry. The interior contains a truss ceiling, marble pulpit, and lectern. The site is enclosed by a random coursed stone wall with an arcade of twenty segmental-headed recesses. A date plaque on the wall records it was built by Francis Rollestown Esq. in 1757.
