The building
St John's Church in Drumshambo, Co. Leitrim, is a Board of First Fruits style Church of Ireland building constructed in 1829. It features a three-bay nave, a projecting chancel, and a north porch. The structure includes a two-stage tower with castellations and pinnacles, set against cut limestone walls with quoins and a plinth. Decorative elements include stained-glass lancets, a traceried Tudor-arched east window with hood mouldings, and timber battened double doors within a pointed-arched opening. The church is enclosed by a random stone wall with cut limestone piers and a cast-iron gate.
