Church Of Our Lady & St. Joseph, Prosperous dates from 1869 and is built in the Gothic Revival style. It has a four-bay nave, built of squared limestone. Notable features include stained-glass windows and buttressed walls.
History
An extension in 1985 added a flat-roofed sacristy projection to the north-east and a lean-to bay beside the south-east side aisle. The belfry to the north-east retains early mechanisms, providing a surviving element separate from the later extension.
