About Church of Mary Immaculate, Achill Sound
Church of Mary Immaculate, Achill Sound was built between 1928 and 1930. It has a simple single-cell form, built of squared sandstone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and mosaic work.
