About Trory St Michael
Trory St Michael is a Church of Ireland church in Trory, County Fermanagh. It is in the Diocese of Clogher.
History
The parish records that the date of the founding of Christian witness on the site has been lost to history. St Michael's Church was restored and refurbished in 2008. A new heating system was installed in 2009, the year the parish car park was enlarged, and in 2010 an electronic organ was installed to supplement the church organ.
Notable features
The Devenish round tower stands close to the church. St Michael's is on the north shore of Lough Erne beside St Angelo airfield, which was built during the Second World War as a support airfield for the anti-submarine campaign in the North Atlantic, flown by long-range land-based aircraft from the airfield and by flying boats operating from Lough Erne.
