About Toberdoney Presbyterian Church
Toberdoney Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland in Ballymoney, County Antrim.
History
The congregation was formed in 1810 as a Seceder church within the Associate Presbytery, and the church was built in 1813. In 1821 it joined the new synod of Protestors. The first minister, Rev. John Millar, was ordained on 13 July 1828 by Ayr Presbytery.
The congregation joined the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland in 1956, and was joined with Croaghmore on 30 September 1957. After almost 50 years that arrangement ended: on 1 June 2002 Croaghmore was joined with Ballycastle and Toberdoney was linked with Mosside.
