About St Senan’s Church
St Senan’s Church is a Catholic church in the parish of Doonbeg (Killard), in the Diocese of Killaloe.
History
From the 1850s, before the present church was built, Mass for this part of the parish was said in various houses in the locality and later in a chapel formed at one end of the old parochial house at Baltard. That chapel was known as Singleton's Room, after its former occupant, the landlord John Singleton.
St Senan's Church at Bealaha, a medium-sized rectangular structure, was built in 1869-1870. The sanctuary was re-ordered in 1984, when a new lighting and heating system was installed.
