About St. Saviour
St. Saviour was built around 1856. It has an eight-bay nave. Notable features include stained glass including a rose window, an internal gallery and pinnacles.
The building
Designed by J.J. McCarthy, this limestone Gothic Revival church features a three-tier entrance gable with a rose window and blind arcading. The interior includes a seven-bay pointed arcade on clustered quatrefoil piers, with corbels depicting Dominican saints. It adjoins a Dominican Priory designed by J. Robinson in 1885.
