About St. Patrick's Church, Knock
St. Patrick's Church, Knock was built in 1877. The church has rendered walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower, stained-glass windows and an internal gallery.
The building
This freestanding gable-fronted Catholic church features snecked limestone and sandstone walls with ashlar sandstone quoins. The structure includes a sacristy to the east and a belfry to the west, topped by a pitched artificial slate roof with sandstone cross finials. Pointed-arch openings are framed by alternate limestone and sandstone blocks, while the interior contains a timber A-framed roof and a gallery over the entrance.
