About St. Oliver Plunkett

St. Oliver Plunkett is a Roman Catholic parish church in Belfast, Co. Antrim. It is part of the Down and Connor Diocese.

History

The parish was established on 1 August 1976, five years after the church was built. The boundaries of the new parish were Shaws Road, Glen Road, Suffolk Road and Stewartstown Road, taking in the Lenadoon, Glencolin and Stewartstown areas of west Belfast. The curates appointed to the new parish had already been ministering in the area as curates of Hannahstown Parish.
