About St Mary’s
St Mary’s is a Catholic church in Lisbellaw in the parish of Enniskillen (St Michael's Parish), Diocese of Clogher. The diocese lists Sunday Mass at 09:30. Rt Rev Mgr Peter O’ Reilly is the parish priest.
History
St Mary's was built between 1858 and 1860 by voluntary labour under the guidance of Father Hughes, C.C., assisted by masons and workmen who were at that time constructing the railway from Clones to Enniskillen. It replaced an old thatched chapel, built about 1745 on the ground occupied by the present sanctuary and sacristy.
