About St Joseph’s Church, Leitrim Village
St Joseph’s Church, Leitrim Village was built in 1888. It has a single-cell plan with a four-bay nave and pebbledashed walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained glass including a rose window.
Notable features
The church has an open-truss roof internally and timber-battened double doors. A freestanding cast-iron bell stands to the south, and the church grounds are enclosed by a random-stone boundary wall with a cast-iron gate.
