About St. John the Baptist, Drumcree
St. John the Baptist, Drumcree is a Roman Catholic parish church in Portadown, Co. Armagh. It is part of the Armagh Archdiocese.
History
Jesuits first came to live in Portadown in 1981, beginning a presence of the Society of Jesus in Drumcree parish. On 8 October 2006 a cross-community service was held in the Church of St John the Baptist to mark 25 years of that presence, with an auxiliary bishop of Armagh and the Irish Jesuit Provincial taking part.
