About St. Finlough
St. Finlough is a Roman Catholic parish church in Ballykelly, Co. Derry. It is part of the Derry Diocese.
History
St Finlough's was built in 1849. Writing at the dedication of the parish's new Church of Christ the King in 1982, the parish recorded that St Finlough's had been the last church built in the parish, St Mary's in Limavady having been begun in 1836.
The parish also records that in the late 1920s Fr Paul McKenna travelled out from Limavady on Saturday afternoons to hear confessions at St Finlough's, stopping to hear confessions at the roadside along the way.
