About St. Ciaran’s Church, Shannonbridge
St. Ciaran’s Church, Shannonbridge dates from 1965. It has a six-bay nave under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and crenellated parapets.
History
The design is attributed to Robinson, Keefe and Devane because of similarities with their contemporary church at Highstreet. It also has curvilinear window profiles, a faceted polygonal apse and an elongated pyramid-topped belfry.
