About Romanian Orthodox Cathedral (Christ Church, Leeson Park)
The former Christ Church, Leeson Park is the episcopal cathedral of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Ireland and Iceland, which was established in February 2024. The Romanian Orthodox community had worshipped in the church since 2004 by agreement with the Church of Ireland, and purchased the building in 2025. Liturgical services resumed in the cathedral on 14 September 2025, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
