The building
This detached four-bay double-height Catholic church dates from 1856 and was extended c.1955 with a single-bay sacristy. The structure features painted roughcast walls, a pitched slate roof, and a rendered gabled bellcote. Interior elements include carved timber pews, a polished marble communion railing, and a decorative Gothic-style reredos. The site also contains a graveyard with cut-stone markers and an 1856 gateway with cast-iron gates.
