About Magorban Church Of The Holy Spirit
Magorban Church Of The Holy Spirit was built between 1813 and 1816. It has a three-bay nave, built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a two-stage tower, an internal gallery and pinnacles.
The building
This Board of First Fruits type church features a gable-fronted single-bay vestry to the north and a two-stage tower with castellations and pinnacles. The structure is built of snecked roughly dressed limestone with a pitched slate roof. Interior elements include decorative plasterwork on the ceiling and a small timber gallery at the west end. The church has never had an electrical installation. The graveyard contains various grave markers, table tombs, and a mausoleum, bounded by rubble limestone walls with cast-iron gates.
