About Kilscoran St Peter
Kilscoran St Peter was built between 1817 and 1818. It has a simple single-cell form under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, crenellated parapets and pinnacles.
The building
This Church of Ireland structure was built with Board of First Fruits support and repaired in 1839. It features roughcast slate hung walls, ogee-headed windows with carved timber mullions, and a three-stage tower with obelisk pinnacles. The interior contains a 1783 wall monument to Joshua Nunn, later monuments to John Boxwell and James Bostock Jacob, and a Gothic-style altar table.
