About Holy Family Church, Coalisland
Holy Family Church, Coalisland is a Roman Catholic parish church in Dungannon, Co. Armagh. It is part of the Armagh Archdiocese.
History
From 1822 to 1954 the parish of Ballyclog and Donaghenry was known as Stewartstown parish, and following boundary changes it has been known officially as Coalisland parish since 1954. The parish records that the ancient parishes of Ballyclog and Donaghenry are first mentioned in documents dating from around 900, and that those documents testify to the work of St Patrick in the area 450 years earlier.
