About Glengormley Baptist Church
Glengormley Baptist Church is a Baptist church in Newtownabbey, County Antrim, a member of the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland.
History
Glengormley was a small village in the early 1930s when a tent mission was held in Portland Avenue. A church was formed as a result in 1932, and a new building was opened on 24 May that year.
The need for a larger building later became evident, and the replacement was opened on 22 March 1975. A hall built specifically for youth work was opened on 20 April 1985.
