About Dunshaughlin St Seachnal

Dunshaughlin St Seachnal was built in 1814. The church has rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower and pinnacles.

The building

This Board of First Fruits church features a nave with three-bay side elevations and a single-bay chancel. The structure includes roughcast rendered walls with an ashlar limestone string course, castellations, and eaves dentils. Y-traceried windows with cast-iron diamond panes are set in pointed-arched openings. The site also contains the remains of a medieval church, a graveyard, and wrought-iron gates between squared limestone piers.
