About Dunboyne St Peter & St Paul

Dunboyne St Peter & St Paul was built in 1866. The church is built of limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and buttressed walls. The church stands in its own graveyard.

History

The graveyard contains the remains of an earlier medieval church tower. Carved limestone gate piers, spear-headed cast-iron railings and a rendered rubble-limestone wall enclose the site.
