About Dun Laoghaire Methodist Church

Dun Laoghaire Methodist Church is a congregation of the Methodist Church in Ireland in Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin. It is part of the South East Leinster in the Southern District.

History

The first church on the present site opened in 1836. The present building was completed in 1904, and a major extension opened in 1957. The congregations of Dalkey and Blackrock Methodist Churches were consolidated with that at Dun Laoghaire.

The account from which these dates come was compiled for the church's 150th anniversary in 1986 by Harry Forsyth, a local preacher for 60 years, who died in 2004.
