About Church of St Columba

Church of St Columba is a Catholic church at Carron, Co. Clare, in the Carron/New Quay parish of the Diocese of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora. The Saturday vigil Mass is at 5:30pm. The church was built in 1861 by Rev J. Gleeson, who served as parish priest from 1854 to 1867. The site was given by Lord Inchiquin’s estate. In 1943–44, the church was repaired and remodelled by architect W. H. Byrne of Dublin.
