History
In 2005 the select vestry of the parish took the decision to declare the church a Fair Trade Church, under which tea and coffee served at church functions and events would come from fairly traded sources.
Notable features
The grounds contain a sculpture of a large European bear, the work of a local artist. The parish associates it with the story of St Gall and his bear, and with the founding of the saint's community at Steinach in Switzerland, which the parish dates to more than 1400 years ago.
