About Boyle
Boyle was built around 1790. It has a cruciform plan with a two-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower and stained-glass windows.
The building
This Church of Ireland church stands on an elevated site on the outskirts of Boyle, overlooking the town. It features a pedimented entrance bay with a recessed surround leading to a timber panelled double door with a spoked fanlight. The structure is bounded by a coursed random stone wall with cut stone piers topped by ball finials and wrought-iron gates.
