About Blanchardstown Methodist Church
Blanchardstown Methodist Church is a congregation of the Methodist Church in Ireland in Dublin, County Dublin. It is part of the Dublin Central North & West Circuit in the Southern District.
History
The church began in 1986, when a small group of Methodists started meeting for worship in St Brigid's Community Centre with the support of the local parish. The congregation later met in Clonsilla and at Connolly Hospital, and regular services had come to an end by 1991.
After more than a decade without services, the church was re-established in 2008 by a small group of families connected to the Dublin Central Mission, and worship resumed in Tyrrelstown Educate Together National School. In 2013 the congregation moved into a dedicated worship space in Tyrrelstown Town Centre.
