About Blackrock Community Church
Blackrock Community Church is a Baptist church in Williamstown, County Dublin, a member of the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland.
History
The congregation was formed in 2019 as a church plant from Grosvenor Road Baptist Church in Rathmines. Grosvenor Road had begun work in 2016 towards establishing a further local church in south Dublin, and in January 2019 a group sent from that congregation began meeting at St Andrew's College on Booterstown Avenue, Blackrock. Grosvenor Road itself had moved to Rathmines in the 1940s from an earlier site on Harcourt Street.
