About Belfast South Methodist Church
Belfast South Methodist Church is a congregation of the Methodist Church in Ireland in Belfast, County Antrim. It is part of the Belfast Central & South in the North Eastern District.
The building
The congregation worships in the Agape Centre on the Lisburn Road, which opened in April 2012. It was built as a community hub, containing a worship centre that can also be used as a conference centre, and was deliberately built at street level to allow access for all. Agape, pronounced a-ga-pay, is a Greek word which translates into English as love.
