About BallyBricken (Trinity Without)

BallyBricken (Trinity Without) was built around 1810. It has a cruciform plan with a four-bay nave. Notable features include a four-stage tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and an open timber roof.

The building

This detached six-bay double-height Catholic church stands on a cruciform plan with polygonal chapels and a four-stage tower. The exterior features unpainted roughcast walls with cut-limestone dressings, diagonal stepped buttresses, and battlemented parapets with corner pinnacles. The interior was reordered c.1985, introducing carved timber pews, a panelled gallery with a pipe organ, and an exposed hammerbeam ceiling.
