About St Mary's Cathedral (North Cathedral)
St Mary's Cathedral, known locally as the North Cathedral, is the seat of the Catholic Bishop of Cork and Ross. The current building dates from 1808, making it one of the oldest Catholic cathedrals built after the relaxation of the Penal Laws.
